In match 11 of the Caribbean Premier League, Barbados Royals and Saint Lucia Kings tried to clinch a crucial win. The Royals captain David Miller won the toss and elected to field first. It was a justifiable decision as records say teams have 60% of the times they chose to field first at Saint Lucia.

Barbados Royals came into the match undefeated and a win here might seal them a seat in the playoffs almost. Saint Lucia Kings, on the other hand, needed a win to make a point as they have won only one before the match.

Johnson Charles and Niroshan Dickwella got off to a decent start as the duo put on a decent thirty-run partnership for the first wicket. Then followed a middle-order collapse with Tim David being tasked to lift the team. The Singapore start made the best use of the opportunity and scored a massive forty.

David was backed up by David Wiese at the other end and the duo powered the Kings to a decent total of 169 for the loss of six wickets.

Barbados Royals pull off a classic chase

Barbados Royals looked confident right from the start. No surprise on their rich history this season as the opener Kyle Mayers got a thirty in no time barring Quinton de Kock who got out for a duck. It was all about Corbin Bosch.

Rich strokes, classy boundaries, gifted timing and good balance all fell in place for him. The batter scored as many as ten boundaries and one maximum in his rich classic inning. The aggressive batter piled up 81 runs before he made his way back. David Miller, the South African star and the Royals skipper finished things off for the team with his 18-ball 29 runs comprising of three sixes.

With this win, the Royals went undefeated for the fourth consecutive time in this season and are now closer to the playoffs. Here we bring on some of the tweets that fans came up with on their Twitter accounts:
