Trent Rockets and London Spirit locked horns against each other in the 20th match of The Hundred at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Trent Rockets won the toss and put the London Spirit into bat.

The wicketkeeper-batter Rossington was dismissed off Sam Cook for just 2 runs. Bell-Drummond was looking good for his 24 runs of 15 balls which consisted of one four and 2 sixes but he got out to Luke Wood against the run of play.

Ben McDermott, who has made a name for himself in the Big Bash, got out after scoring a quick 30 off 25 balls, including one four and two maximums. Dan Lawrence got out cheaply to the Afghan spin sensation Rashid Khan. Captain Morgan looked threatening for his 27 off just 16 deliveries which contained two fours and two sixes.

There was nothing much to write about the others in the batting department as they marched back to the pavilion quickly. In the end, London Sprit could only muster a 122 on the board for the loss of 10 wickets.

Luke Wood, Sam Cook, and Samit Patel picked up 2 wickets each. However, the star bowler was Rashid Khan for the Trent Rockets. He scalped 3 for 25 in his 20-ball spell and dismissed the dangerous Kieron Pollard and also accounted for Dan Lawrence and Jordan Thompson.

In the second innings, Rockets didn't make a good start either. The famed duo of Hales and Malan got out very quickly. That caused a bit of restlessness in the Trent Rockets' camp, but Colin Munro, the New Zealand import settled the nerves by scoring 67 in just 37 balls, with 6 fours and 4 sixes. He received great support from Kohler Cadmore, who made 41 from just 28 balls, including 3 maximums.

The finishing touches were provided by the skipper Lewis Gregory, who smashed Dan Lawrence for six to finish the game in style for the Trent Rockets. The Rockets got to the target of 122 in just 78 balls, and, thereby secured a big win.
