In match 31 of The Hundred 2022, Northern Superchargers will take on Southern Brave at Leeds stadium. Both the teams have not qualified for the next round and they will play to end the tournament with a win. The Superchargers are in the sixth position, while the latter are in the seventh position with four wins each.

Let's take a look at the match preview for the clash between Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave:

Team News:

Northern Superchargers

Northern Superchargers have been poor right throughout the season and the three consecutive losses in the middle of the tournament have hurt them badly. The team never really shined in the season and has been knocked out already. However, they'll look to play for pride and end the tournament with a win against Southern Brave.

Players to watch out for:

1) Adam Lyth:

Adam Lyth has been fantastic for the team and he will look to go big in the pressure-free final outing for his team. It wouldn't be surprising if he gets a century to his name and helps his team put up a huge total on board.

2) Faf du Plessis:

The skipper will have to be at his best and emulate the best captaincy skills to clinch a win for his team. Fans are well aware of Du Plessis' skills and he took the Bangalore team into the playoffs last year in the Indian T20 League. Although his team has already been knocked out of the tournament, he'll look to score some runs to his name.

3) David Willey:

The bowling all-rounder might pick up scalps quickly as there is no real pressure on the bowlers. Willey might also find a way to score some crucial runs for his team with the bat.

Predicted Playing XI: Faf du Plessis (c), Adam Lyth, David Willey, Michael-Kyle Pepper (wk), Harry Brook, Adam Hose, David Wiese, Adil Rashid, Wayne Parnell, Craig Miles, Roelof van der Merwe

Southern Brave

Southern Brave has been poor as well as they stand seventh in the points table above Welsh Fire. They had a good start winning the first two matches of the season and then went on to lose four consecutive matches right away to get knocked out of the tournament.

Players to watch out for:

1) Paul Stirling:

Paul Stirling played an aggressive inning the other day and will look to emulate the same in the final outing for his team. He will be crucial in chasing and might go all out against the Superchargers' bowlers.

2) Quinton de Kock:

The South African will have to do his best and be on his toes with the bat and score some runs for his team. The southpaw can be extremely dangerous on his day and it might well be in the match against the Superchargers.

3) Tim David:

The Singapore star has fared well for the team and his aggressive innings might well be needed if the match goes down the wire. He will be the X-factor for the Brave and is definitely a player to watch out for.

Predicted Playing XI: James Vince (c), Paul Stirling, Quinton de Kock (wk), Tim David, Alex Davies, Ross Whiteley, James Fuller, Rehan Ahmed, Jake Lintott, Sonny Baker, Michael Hogan

Pitch and Weather:

The pitch at Headingley, Leeds is a batting-friendly one and the average first innings score is 169. Teams winning the toss must elect to bat first and put up a huge total on board. The weather will be overcast and not much rain is expected despite the heavy cloud cover.
