'The Goat Rohit Sharma'- Video of Rohit Sharma meeting Babar Azam ahead of Asia Cup match goes viral

In the last few days, India and Pakistan players have been meeting each other ahead of their Asia Cup encounter. The series of meetings started with Virat Kohli meeting Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. After that, Kohli also met Shaheen Afridi who has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 due to a knee injury. This has been going on and on between the players from both teams.

Up until now, India skipper Rohit Sharma was staying away and was believed to be focusing on the game. However, a day ahead of the game, he has decided to meet his opposition, Babar Azam. The video of the two players meeting each other has been uploaded by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Twitter.

Talking about the game, it will start at 7:30 PM (IST) this weekend at the Dubai International Stadium. This is the same venue where both teams played each last time in the 20-20 World Cup tournament. In that game, Babar Azam's men won by 10 wickets. Notably, it was their first win against arch-rivals in the history of the tournament. This time around, the Men In Blue would look to return the favour to their opponents. This year, they have been focusing on getting better in the shortest format of the game.

On the other hand, the Green Brigade has played only one T20I this year, that too in April against Australia at home. In the game, the Aaron Finch-led side emerged victorious. Pakistan will enter the tournament with a very less amount of T20I match practice. Also, they have lost the services of Mohammad Wasim Jr., who has been ruled out due to side strain. Hasan Ali, who was dropped from the team ahead of the series against the Netherlands, has replaced Wasim.

Talking about India, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were ruled due to injuries early this month. The team has persisted with young pacers such as Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan for the tournament.
