The former Indian captain has earned fans across the globe for his on-field heroics and continues to dominate all formats of the game. Meanwhile, fans are in awe of a photo that has gone viral on the internet, convincing them that the craze for Kohli exists even in France, where cricket is not so popular.

Emmanuel Lenain, the French Ambassador to India, took to Twitter on Thursday to share a picture of himself with Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma. The celebrity pair can be seen posing with Lenain and his wife in the viral social media image.

The French Ambassador wrote in the caption of his post that he wished Virat and the Indian cricket team best of luck for the upcoming tournaments. He also discussed with the Bollywood actress on her trip to France for the Cannes Film Festival.

Virat Kohli so far in IPL 2023

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain is the second highest run-getter for his franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season after skipper Faf du Plessis. Kohli has hit 364 runs in 9 matches at an average of 45.50 and a strike rate of 137.87, and is only a few runs away from becoming the first player in IPL history to reach 7000 runs. He has smashed five half-centuries so far this season.
