The 22nd match in the Hundred ball tournament took place between Southern Brave and Welsh Fire. The match was played at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. The coin went the way of Southern Brave and they elected to bowl first.

The Welsh fire got off to the worst possible start when they lost Bethell their opening batter early. Joe Clark, The Wicketkeeper batter scored a paltry 17 off just 20 balls before getting run out.

Josh Cobb the skipper and also Ben Duckett registered ducks to their name. David Miller and Dwaine Pretorious scored 15 each before they perished to James Fuller and M Hogan, respectively.

The only saving grace for them in the innings was provided by two batters in the form of Leus du Plboy and Critchley, who scored 37 of 25 balls consisting of three fours, and 32 of 19 balls consisting of two boundaries and two maximums.

The above contributions helped Welsh Fire to register a total of 129 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted Hundred balls. The Southern Brave bowlers came to the party which was led by George Garton, who picked up three wickets for seven runs in his 15-ball spell.

M Hogan and J Lintott picked up a wicket each and conceded 34 runs and 17 runs, respectively. James Fuller too had a good spell as he picked up 2 scalps for 31 runs in his 20-ball spell.

In the Second Innings, Paul Stirling, the superstar from Ireland, led the chase in grand style smashing 74 runs in just 42 balls, which contained 10 fours and 2 sixes. He was striking at a rate of 176.19.

The South African Wicketkeeper import Quinton De Kock made a run a ball 37 which had 5 boundaries in them. Sterling remained not out in the chase and steered the Southern Brave home. Tim David also provided the finishing touches in the end scoring a quick-fire 10 runs in just 3 balls laced with 2 boundaries.

The Southern Brave completed the target in just 82 balls and there was nothing to write about in the bowling card for the Welsh Fire except the solitary wicket picked up by Dwaine Pretorius.
