James Anderson continues to age like a fine wine. At 40 years of age, the England fast bowler continues to torment batters with his sensational bowling. Currently playing against Pakistan the English pacer put on a show and brought back-to-back wins for the visiting team.

Watching a player of his age perform at the highest level with this much consistency has given a lot to think to the Pakistan cricket management. Notably, Pakistan cricket is infamous for favouring young players and weeding out the older ones.

Kamran Akmal who himself feels to be the victim of this chopping and changing has come out lashing at Pakistan cricket using Jimmy Anderson as an example.

"Thank God Jimmy Anderson is not from Pakistan. He would have been thrown out of the team long ago, citing his age as the reason. The other teams think about their country. However, we do not have such a system. We don't think about the country but about individuals. Once a player gets old, we think of ways to remove him from the team," Akmal said.

“Everyone is going to talk about Saud Shakeel's controversial dismissal, but nobody will talk about the performances. Nobody is going to talk about national selectors or the state of Pakistan's domestic cricket," Akmal added.

Boys are eager to bounce back- Babar Azam

Pakistan are facing a whitewash at home against England as they have lost their first two matches in the three-match Test series. Pakistan's captain Babar Azam however is confident of a bounce back from his team and looked motivated despite the disappointing loss.

"We missed out on crucial chances in both the matches, which cost us," said Azam. "But the boys are eager to bounce back and we enjoy a good record in Karachi, so I am pretty sure that we will bounce back,” continued the Pakistan skipper.

England Test captain Ben Stokes has tried to not get carried away and has tried to stay in the moment following their victory. "Coming to the subcontinent, it's always a tough place to come and win," Stokes said after the Multan victory.

"One thing we do is we stay in the moment. Basically, just always stay in the moment, “ added Stokes.
