The 45th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 is being played between the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihar Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, May 3. Both teams are coming off dramatic home losses in their previous clash. It’d be interesting to see which team will come back to the winning track.

Meanwhile, CSK skipper and former legendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is probably playing his last season of the cash-rich league and he has also hinted the same in some matches of IPL 2023 so far. However, during the toss ahead of the clash against LSG, Dhoni had a little funny interaction with Danny Morrison which is going viral on the internet.

Danny Morrison said something about the "farewell tour" at the Ekana stadium, which was beautifully decorated in yellow to support Thala. And Dhoni then came up with a hilarious reply and said, “It is you who decided that it is my farewell”. Morrison then goes on to tell the crowd that Dhoni will be back the following year. However, it is still unknown whether the wicketkeeper-batter will continue to play or will take retirement.

Who will be back on the winning track?

Speaking of CSK's performance in the 16th IPL, MS Dhoni's squad has found some unexpected match-winning players this year, thanks to the brilliance of Shivam Dube and Ajinkya Rahane as well as the ascent of bowlers like Tushar Deshpande and Matheesha Pathirana. Despite their players' success, they have fallen off with consecutive losses that kept them at 10 points.

The Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, have not performed well at home. The Super Giants lost their third straight home game after failing to win a low-scoring contest against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, their clash against RCB was all about the dispute between Virat Kohli and LSG speedster Naveen ul Haq as the audience found it more entertaining than the low-scoring encounter.
