Even at the age of 41, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has caught the eye with his on-field performances in this season of the Indian Premier League. This is made even more impressive by the fact that the former Indian wicket-keeper has been nursing a knee injury since the start of the tournament.

In Chennai's most recent IPL match against Delhi Capitals, Dhoni was seen limping while running between the wickets. This did not stop him from making an impact with the bat, however, as his smashed 20 off nine balls at the end of the innings to take his side to a fighting total. He also kept wickets in the second innings, overseeing a clinical bowling performance that saw them defend their score comfortably.

Dhoni's determination and desire, even at this age, has received praise from one and all, and the latest to join in is his former India teammate Irfan Pathan. Meeting in the changing room after CSK's clash with Delhi, Pathan shared a few photos with Dhoni as the duo took a trip down memory lane.

“Jaha se chorte hai wahi se fir se shuru hoti hai Hamari dosti. Never been a time where we met and didn’t remember our good old days. Some funny memories comes back to the life every time we meet. @msdhoni @ChennaiIPL #leader #friend,” was the caption for Pathan's picture with Dhoni.

In the picture that Pathan shared, Dhoni was seen with strapping on his knee, which raised concerns over his physical fitness. Chennai play their penultimate game of the league stage in Chennai against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, May 14, before finishing off their campaign in Delhi against the Capitals. The side are in a great position to make the playoffs, and Chennai Super Kings staff as well as cricket fans will hope that Dhoni is able to regain full physical fitness and perform to the fullest on the field.

Here's a look at how fans reacted to Irfan Pathan's latest tweet:
