The GMR Sports’ franchise ‘Telugu Yoddhas’ have revealed their new jersey for the inaugural season of ‘Ultimate Kho Kho’. A perfect blend of Gold, Red and Blue makes the jersey, one that will stand. They launched their ‘Warrior Spirit’ logo that represented their gut and glory earlier. The blend of Gold, Blue and Red in the jersey represents courage, accuracy and speed.
The blue shade stands for faith and confidence. Gold, which is considered auspicious in south India, stands for luck. They also have given a final touch with a red shade, representing courage and bravery. The jersey and their logo reveal the approach that the Telugu Yoddhas will be adapting in the upcoming ‘Ultimate Kho Kho’ League. They have symbolically revealed that they will play with extremely aggressive intent.
“After launching the logo, the jersey drop was the next big thing we were looking forward to and I am happy to launch our new jersey. What makes it all the more exciting that we have been able to beautifully transcend our logos ethos and colour schemes on our Telugu Yoddhas jersey,” Sujoy Ganguly, Head of Business Development & Marketing, GMR Sports League said after launching the jersey.
“The new jersey not only now looks vibrant and young but also sends a specific message about our intent as a team to our competition at the inaugural Ultimate Kho Kho. Telugu Yoddhas will be seen wearing a jersey of courage, confidence, accuracy and the spirit of sportsmanship with utmost discipline and I am confident that the upcoming season will see us charting new territories of success in Kho Kho,” Ganguly concluded.
As many as six teams will face off each other in the inaugural season. Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune will host the matches from August 14 to September 4. Sony Sports Network is all set to do the honours of telecasting the match, while their online platform, Sony LIV will do the live streaming of the matches.
