It was a cracking day yesterday at The Oval Ground as it hosted match 14 of The Hundred 2022. Southern Brave and Oval Invincibles faced off each other and it was a nice set-up with the Invincibles coming out as favourites to win the match. The Invincibles' captain Sam Billings called it right at the toss and elected to field first.

Quinton de Kock and James Vince opened up the innings for the Brave. And the partnership lasted only for 9 balls as de Kock perished for just eight runs. Alex Davies followed him quickly as he got out for just four runs. James Vince and Marcus Stoinis tried to score runs quickly but the Invincibles' bowlers were too good for the duo as they did not give away boundaries at ease.

Marcus Stoinis perished for a well-made 37 off 26 balls comprising of two fours and two sixes. James Vince perished for 15 runs under a 100 strike rate. A quickfire innings from Tim David and Ross Whiteley took the team total close to the 120 mark. A 17-ball blitzkrieg from James Fuller powered the team's total to 137. Southern Brave lost six wickets after scoring 137 off hundred balls.

The Oval Invincibles hoped for a good start but in vain as Jason Roy bagged his third duck in his last four innings. Rilee Rossouw and Will Jacks joined hands to counterattack. The Surrey batter glimpsed past the 30-run mark off just 19 balls. And the batter never looked like playing a defensive shot as he kept the boundaries coming. Rilee Rossouw perished for just 10 runs.

Will Jacks carried on the onslaught at the other end and reached his fifty off just 27 balls. An expensive over from Jake Lintott took the game away from his team. The Surrey star reached his century off just 47 balls. And he smashed a six off the very next ball after reaching his century to seal the match for the Invincibles.

Oval Invincibles crushed Southern Brave by 7 wickets with eighteen balls to spare. Here's how Twitter reacted to the magnificent chase by Oval Invincibles in match 14 of The Hundred 2022:
