He went past Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee, who has scored 626 runs this year. Yadav has scored 682 runs in 20 games at an average of 37.88 including his maiden hundred in July and two fifties. The right-hander scored a match-winning 69 off 36 balls including five fours and as many sixes.
His innings came at a time when India lost two wickets for 30 runs while chasing 187 against Australia. This inning helped the team chase down the target and win the three-match series 2-1.
