Suryakumar Yada made his international debut after years of hard work

There was a time in Indian cricket when a lot of former cricketers used to raise questions about the exclusion of the Mumbai player from the national side. He was scoring tons of runs in T20 domestic cricket. In the Indian T20 League seasons of 2018, 2019, and 2020, Yadav scored 512, 424, and 480 runs respectively.

The former Kolkata player in the cash-rich league was anticipated to be part of the squad for the tour of Australia in late 2020. However, he was ignored by the selectors once again. His chance finally came when he was included in the white-ball squad for the home series against England early last year.
