Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty took to her Instagram to post a clarification note after her cricketer-husband KL Rahul’s alleged videos from a strip club surfaced online. The couple is currently in London, where the senior Indian batter is rehabilitating after a successful thigh surgery. Athiya has been sharing beautiful moments with her hubby, but recently a video of them partying inside a strip club has gone viral which has taken everyone by surprise.

The footage shows exotic dancers and someone who appears to be KL Rahul at the party. The video grabbed everyone's attention and social media users were flooded with trolls and hateful comments about the cricketer and his wife going to a strip club. Some comments didn't go down well with the actress, and she finally decided to break her silence on the matter and dismissed all the claims.

“I usually choose to be silent and not react, but sometimes it is important to stand up for yourself. Rahul, I and our friends went out to a regular place as one does. Stop taking things out of context, and check your facts before reporting. Peace and love,” Athiya wrote on her Instagram story on Saturday.

However, many responded to the post by trolling Athiya for claiming that a strip club is a "regular place". One user commented, "Strip club is their regular place lol. I'm soooo modern", while another wrote, "Strip club is the regular place for them now".

Some fans came out in support of the couple after the actor issued a clarification. “One of them has to speak up yrrr , the way athiya did , these losers aren’t stopping any time soon but the positive thing is many people are speaking on this so it’s a relief," wrote one of the fans. "We should learn to respect and maybe accept that people have their own private lives," another commented.

Actor Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya and Rahul tied the knot early this year after dating each other for nearly three years. The duo got married in an intimate ceremony at Suniel‘s Khandala farmhouse.
