Cricket's governing body made a press release about Marizanne Kapp and Tumi Sekhukhune. The press release revealed that the two cricketers will miss the remainder of the T20I matches against England. To add more misery, it has also been reported that the two might miss the Commonwealth Games 2022. Marizanne will return for some personal reasons, and Tumi Sekhukhune will return due to injury.

Sekhukhune is reported to have injured her groin once again and might have to return for rehabilitation. On the other hand, things are very tough for Marizanne. Her teammate Dane van Niekerk revealed that on her Instagram handle. She stressed that the fans must value the personal lives of players. She said that Marizanne's youngest sister has been going through a very tough time and the former had to return to stand by her family.

Niekerk backed Marizanne adding that the latter had always stood for the team. She revealed that Marizanne played in tough situations and the fans had to stand by her in these times. With her participation in doubt, South Africa's chances of winning a medal looks grim at the moment, and selectors will have to build a team that will comply with the rules of the event.

Tazmin Britts has been called as a replacement for now. However, it means that the women's cricket team of South Africa are starting at a loss. They are in deep trouble although their team still have some potential power hitters in the squad. This will mean a tough road ahead for the South African team. And they have a probability of missing the medal at Commonwealth games 2022 in the absence of Marizanne and Tumi.

It will be up to the selectors of South Africa to hit the right balance before the mega event. Meanwhile, Lizelle Lee announced her retirement from international cricket recently. With a tough road ahead, it will be up to the young brigade of South Africa to take the country home.
