Mohammed Siraj has risen to the top of the ODI bowlers ranking on the back of his sensational performance in the last couple of years. The right-arm pacer continues to impress all with his fiery bowling and looks set to work as a great partner to Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami in the upcoming ODI world cup.

From the interviews, Siraj appears quite ecstatic at receiving rewards for his hard work and often credits his family and teammates for the same. In a recent candid interview with veteran India bowler Ravi Ashwin, Siraj has opened up on his reaction to being the top-ranked ODI bowler.

In the first clip, Ashwin asked Siraj in Tamil asking “No. 1 ODI bowler, yeppadi da irrukai, yeppadi da feel pannrai?” (No. 1 ODI bowler, how are you? How are you feeling?) to which Siraj replied in his mother tongue. Ashwin then asked how he was feeling after becoming the World’s No. 1 ODI bowler to which Siraj replied:

“Bahut hi achha lag raha hai, socha nahi tha ki number 1 bowler banunga. It’s a good feeling (I’m feeling quite good, I’ve never imagined I would become number 1 bowler).”
