Star Pakistan cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi married the daughter of former Pakistan captain and allrounder Shahid Afridi on Saturday in Karachi. The celebrations and smiles of the people in the wedding ceremony are visible in the pictures that are doing the rounds on social media platforms. However, there was one thing that displeased the Pakistan pacer on his “big day”.
Shaheen took to social media to express his disappointment with photos from the wedding being ‘leaked’ and privacy being breached. The couple, as it seems, asked the guests of the event to turn up to an ‘unplugged ceremony’ with pictures not to be clicked. However, that did not quite go as per the memo.
People kept on sharing it further without any guilt: Shaheen Afridi
"It's very disappointing that despite many and repeated requests, our privacy was hurt and people kept on sharing it further without any guilt,” wrote Shaheen on Twitter. “I would like to humbly request everyone again to kindly coordinate with us and not try to spoil our memorable big day."

I would like to humbly request everyone again to kindly coordinate with us and not try to spoil our memorable big day.
The wedding ceremony, which took place in Karachi, had many esteemed guests such as cricketers Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shadab Khan. The couple got engaged in 2022, and following the wedding, Shaheen’s father-in-law wrote a heartfelt message to her daughter.
Shahid wrote, “Daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden because they blossom with great blessing. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart. As a parent, I gave my daughter in Nikkah to @iShaheenAfridi, congratulations to the two of them.”
Shaheen, who sustained a knee injury last year made a comeback to the national team for the 20-20 World Cup in 2022. However, there were suspicions that he had not made full recovery. He would next be in action for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) which is set to be held later in the month.
