A call went in Pakistan’s favour in the Super 12 match against Pakistan on Sunday as Shakib Al Hasan was given out Leg before wicket on the field. He was in for a shock as the decision when the third umpire was pressed into service went against him. He took the DRS having edged the ball and He was fuming because of this. Speaking on the same, Shadab Khan the ace Pakistan leg spinner gave a very dry response to the incident saying:

"So far so good. Bowlers have done their job. We assessed the conditions well. Hopefully batters do the same. Slower ones (are effective) for fast bowlers, and if you bowl slow as a spinner you will also get help. Umpires gave it out, so it's out (Shakib decision). We have world-class openers. Babar hasn't performed well but he's a big match player," Shadab said in an interview at the halfway stage.

Shakib Al Hasan's wicket had a bearing on the players- Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri also gave his opinions with regards to what unfolded saying, "Which (the shadow) suggests the bat was in the air and there is a spike, so that ball has to hit the bat and nothing else. But, I think he will be a little disappointed, that it really turned the entire momentum of the game. Big player, big wicket, knockout game and when your captain is dismissed in that fashion, it has a bearing on the dugout," Shastri said during the innings break.

Shakib has been a big match player and when Bangladesh lost his wicket at a crucial stage of the game this changed the game for the Bangla Tigers as they lost crucial wickets at regular intervals to end up on a below par total when the innings culminated.

Speaking of the match. Shaheen Afridi made headlines for Pakistan as he picked a wonderful 4-22 in his four overs as Bangladesh could only muster 127-8 in their 20 overs. If either of them win, they will confirm their place in the semi-finals.
