Before the euphoria of winning his first Premier League title fades, Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland rated the English Football League as the most difficult. The Norway international made his Premier League debut in August, scoring a brace to help City beat West Ham 2-0, and he hasn't looked back since.

"It has been an amazing journey, ever since my first game in August. It is the toughest league, the most difficult league, every single game is tough. But we managed to win it and that is what has really been on my mind the whole season. All of my teammates have won it in the last few years and I wanted to do the same," the 22-year-old said.

Haaland, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund last summer, has had an incredible debut season with the Manchester-based club. In recounting his time at the new club, the 22-year-old stated that the environment allows him to be himself and get better every day.

“There are hungry people around me that want to become better every single day and want to help me to become better every single day. That is where everything starts from. From Pep (City coach), to the physios, to everyone, we want to help each other. We want to have a good time together and we want to make every single person in the club better. That is the most important thing.

"It was so nice to lift the trophy"

Speaking further about winning a first English title, the Norway international said: “Lifting the title was an unreal feeling. A fantastic moment. It was so nice to lift the trophy and I am so happy. I was just happy all of the time and smiling. I woke up in the morning with a big smile and I went to bed with a big smile! It was just a happy day.”

With 52 goals in all competitions already, and breaking the all-time Premier League goal record with his 35th of the season in the 3-0 win over West Ham, the young gun is continuing to impress the globe. He has been outstanding in City's third consecutive league title triumph, as well as in propelling City to the FA Cup and Champions League finals.
