In a major development, Sanju Samson has been added to the T20I squad for the West Indies series as a replacement for KL Rahul. However, the batter sustained injury thereafter and was ruled out of the squad for the South Africa and the England series.
After a brief halt, he was added to the T20I squad for the T20I series against West Indies. The batter was undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. To add to his misery, KL Rahul tested positive for Covid-19 recently and missed the T20I series against West Indies, which starts today.
