Being a cricketer is one profession that is sacred, and it is enduring, demanding, and huge at the same time. It gives a wonderful status and star power in a cricket-loving country like India. The cricketers have a wonderful following across the country, and they are revered and bestowed with a god-like status in India.
Being a cricketer's wife is also a big job as they encounter a lot of trolling, and they get a lot of abuse from insecure, abusive, and jealous people on social media. While some people let those comments fly under the radar, some of them stand up to the trolls and shut them up with savage replies.
One such incident happened on Tuesday involving Sanjana Ganesan. Sanjana posted a picture of herself from Adelaide. She is a TV anchor and presenter for Star Sports by profession and is also a part of the broadcasting crew for the 20-20 World Cup in Australia.
Sanjana, recently, posted a picture of herself from the Adelaide oval, where India and England will lock horns on Thursday for the semi-final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. The picture was captioned, “the weather in Adelaide at the moment is B-E-A-utiful.”

In the comments section, a user by the name of Uwais Khan 786, tried to take a dig at the anchor by commenting, “Mam itni khubsurat bhi nahi ho But Bumrah ko kaise pata liya,” which translates to, “ma’am you’re not so beautiful, but how did you get Jasprit Bumrah”.
Not one to back down so easily, Sanjana gave a savage reply to the troll by saying,
“@uwais.khan.786 aur khud jo chappal jaisi shakal lekar ghoom rahe ho uska kya?” (Your face is like slippers).
This is not the first instance where Bumrah's wife has silenced the trolls. There have been incidents in the past where she faced trolls on the internet.
Jasprit Bumrah, who married Sanjana Ganesan, recently, had been ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup due to injury. The ace of pace suffered a back injury before being ruled out of the showpiece event and was replaced by Mohammad Shami.
Bumrah has been the ace of pace for India and has picked up 70 wickets in 60 matches in a five year span. He has an outstanding economy rate of 6.62 and a superb average of 20.22 He has had a strike rate of 18.3 and best bowling figures of 3-11. He has been a handy bowler for the men in blue due to his searing pace and unorthodox action.
