Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are two of the finest cricketers in the world. Both have entertained fans across the world with their batting prowess and achieved many milestones over the years. Along with Shikhar Dhawan, the trio dominated Indian cricket and were among the best top-order batters in the world in the last decade. However, while Kohli and Rohit are still part of the Indian team in all three formats, Dhawan's opportunities are now limited to ODI cricket and that too is now under threat.

Meanwhile, Dhawan praised Kohli's cover drive and Rohit's pull shot in an interview with ESPNCricinfo. “I love Virat Kohli’s cover drive and Rohit Sharma’s pull shot," said the veteran Indian opening batter.

This is not the first time that someone has praised the shots of the two superstars. While Kohli plays the finest cover drive, Rohit's pull shot cannot be matched by anyone else in the current generation. Kohli is the master of cover drives due to his control, timing, and pace. It is always a pleasure to watch the former Indian captain's favourite shot and he has scored many runs playing in that area.

Rohit is an expert of the pull shot, and he can demolish the confidence of opposing bowlers with it. The current Indian skipper has an amazing 250+ strike rate while playing his favourite shot. His majority of his sixes have also come while playing the pull shot.

Dhawan is regarded as the most selfless cricketer who usually does not hesitate to appreciate the talent of his teammates. Due to his poor recent form, Dhawan was dropped from the ODI series against Australia in 2023 and replaced by youngster Shubman Gill. The selectors move was proven correct as Gill performed superbly, and even Dhawan stated that it was a wise decision by the officials.

Meanwhile, three of them are currently part of the Indian Premier League, playing for different franchises. While Rohit and Dhawan captain their respective franchises, Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings, the former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain remains a leader of his side with his years of experience.

Here's how fans reacted to Dhawan's remark:
