RR youngster Dhruv Jurel reveals how MS Dhoni's presence motivates him after his quick-fire cameo against CSK

Rajasthan Royals batter Dhruv Jurel is one such young talent who has impressed everyone with his finishing skills. Jural, who scored 130 runs in seven matches at an average of 32.5 with a massive strike rate of 197, is undoubtedly the find of the season and the Royals' top pick.

RR beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the second time this season with the latest win coming by 32 runs on Thursday, April 27. A brilliant half-century by Yashasvi Jaisawl (77 off 43) and a rapid partnership between Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal towards the of the innings gave RR a massive total. Defending 202 runs against CSK's power-strikers, RR bowlers held their calm to record their fifth win of the tournament.

Jurel reveals his proudest moment from RR vs CSK encounter

Jurel was run out by CSK captain MS Dhoni after his 15-ball 34, and the vice-captain of the U-19 World Cup 2020 finalist team, has now revealed his proudest moment from the match. Jurel said he gets motivated by the presence of Dhoni on the ground and that he feels proud after the former India captain ran him out.

"After 20 years, when I check the scorecard of CSK vs RR game, I will say Dhoni sir ran me out, I feel proud, that is enough for me," the 22-year-old said.

"I’m fortunate enough to share the field with MS Dhoni. I have always dreamt of it. I don’t feel the pressure, I feel motivated. He’s behind me, he’s watching me, that’s enough for me," he added.

Jurel was dismissed by Dhoni on the third ball of the final over. When asked about his stunning performances in the ongoing IPL, the Agra-born cricketer said he just plays according to the situation.

"My mantra is to bat and rest will take care of itself. I just played the situation. I’ve done three-four hours of batting every day. I make sure I’m getting something from my batting."
