Rajasthan Royals got off to a decent start in the ongoing Indian Premier League with a commendable win against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match and a narrow loss to Punjab Kings in their second match. With dynamic players in the squad, Royals were last year's finalist and look like they will go all the way this year as well. The Sanju Samson-led team has a strong bond among its members and keeps their fans entertained both on and off the field.

Recently, a dance video of Yuzvendra Chahal and RR's newbie Joe Root grooving to a Bollywood song went viral on the internet. The former England Test captain was bought by the franchise for his base price of Rs 1 crore and has been spending quality time with his teammates off the field. This is Root's first IPL appearance, and RR has greeted him warmly.

In a video shared by RR on Twitter, Root and one of the popular members of their squad Yuzi Chahal was seen dancing to the famous song "Bharosa Tere Pyar Te". RR tweeted on Thursday, April 6, with the caption, โ€œWelcome to IPL (Yuzi style) Roooot!โ€

England's veteran batter did not feature in the first two games for Royals. The squad is full of high-quality players and the inclusion of Root, who can play the role of an anchor, is a bonus for the 2008 champions. The franchise started their 2023 IPL campaign with a massive 72-run win over former champions SRH. In their second match, Samson and Co put up a tough fight but lost to Shikhar Dhawan-led PBKS by 5 runs in a thriller.

Meanwhile, in a video posted by IPL on Wednesday, the RR opening batter asked his compatriot Root who he likes between him and Yuzi.

โ€œSo everyone on social mediaโ€™s been saying thereโ€™s a new friendship brewing between you and Yuzi. You actually like him, or like me, you entertain him and try and keep him at armโ€™s length?โ€

Root responded: "No, heโ€™s great fun. I really enjoyed his company. Even though I have played a lot against him, I have never really gotten to know him before. Iโ€™m sure itโ€™ll be entertaining throughout the tournament. Heโ€™s a good character."
