Roman Reigns is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Money in the Bank  (MITB) PLE which will be held in London, according to reports. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer said Reigns will defend his Championship at MITB as well as SummerSlam this year. As the American wrestler lacks credible opponents, his main opponents for the foreseeable future will likely be his cousins, The Usos.

''Reigns is expected to defend the title on the 7/1 Money in the Bank show in London and again at SummerSlam. It feels way early for Sikoa, but the top candidates on the brand would be the Usos and Bobby Lashley, and thus far Lashley hasn’t been heated up to that level," Meltzer said.

Reigns is currently involved in an event with The Usos, who have consistently disappointed him since losing the tag team titles at WrestleMania 39. The Tribal Chief is set to take on Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the tag team championships along with his Bloodline member Solo Sikoa at the WWE Night of Champions 2023.

However, American journalist and sports historian Meltzer thinks the 38-year-old will lose the match because of the Usos, which could lead to a match between him and Jimmy or Jey Uso at MITB.

Will we witness a Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns rematch at Royal Rumble 2022?

WWE placed AJ Styles in a match against Seth Rollins at the 10th edition of Night of Champions. Meanwhile, wrestling pundits feels that Styles had just returned and the promotion has put him in a potentially losing match.

William Stanley Apter, an American journalist specializing in professional wrestling, said that Rollins will win Night of Champions 2023. Apter also believes this might lead to a rematch of the Rollins vs. Roman Reigns match at Royal Rumble 2022, where the former won through disqualification.

“Seth Rollins. It’s his time and eventually what they may do, at some point, is put him against Roman from the past and it’ll be title vs. title,” he said.
