There is no doubt that Roman Reign is considered one of the greatest WWE wrestlers in the modern era. The Tribal Chief has participated and emerged victorious in many WrestleMania in the past few years and is likely to do so in the future. According to reports, he can face Cody Rhodes in the WrestleMania 40 next year.
Both wrestlers faced each other at the Showcase of Immortals in April earlier this year. Solo Sikoa ensured that Rhodes could not script history in the event. After the fight, the two are indulged in fights. Where on the one side, the American Nightmare got to indulge with Brock Lesnar and Dominik Mysterio, while on the other hand, Roman Reigns is dealing with a Bloodline Civil War.
While Wrestlemania 40 is one year away, the latest report from Xero News has asserted that Reign could face Rhodes again in an event. They also stated that the former AEW star is not guaranteed to finish his story this time.
Roman Reigns has not defended his title on TV
"Early Plans Currently seem to have Cody vs Roman 2 planned for Mania 40. However, it won't be easy for Cody to get there. He will have to work for it and have many chances. Also, there is nothing to say he finishes the story either," Xero News reported.
The Universal champion is currently the face of WWE at the moment. He has won many world titles and significant events in WWE so far. He is considered as a fierce rival of Rhodes. Despite being his rival, the Tribal Chief shared his relations with Rhodes father, Dusty Rhodes, who was also a WWE wrestler.
Reigns opined that Mr Rhodes was his mentor during the early days, and he always believed in his talent. He added that Dusty believed in him always. After winning Wrestlemania 39, the 38-year-old has not defended his Undisputed Universal Championship on television.
