Legends are in for a cause in the Road Safety World Series 2022. The teams are doing well in the tournament, albeit there have been a few low-scoring games off late. However, the excitement and josh remain high among the fans. Match 8 will see England Legends and West Indies Legends crossing swords at Holkar cricket stadium, Indore. Let’s take a look at the match preview for the clash between England Legends and West Indies Legends:

Team News

England Legends

England Legends failed to give their very best in the clash against Sri Lanka Legends. The team put on a dismal performance and the batting department crumbled like a pack of cards. The pace battery was not up to the mark and the opponents found it easy to tackle them.

Players to watch out for:

1) Tim Ambrose:

The 39-year-old failed to give his best for the team the other night. England Legends will be heavily dependent on him in the middle order and he’ll have to shine in the match against the Caribbean veterans.

2) Ian Bell:

England Legends’ skipper Ian Bell should have led the team from the front. Rather, the batter perished quickly while trying to lift his team from the hiccup. The 40-year-old will be one of the players to watch out for in Saturday's clash.

3) Rikki Clarke:

The all-rounder was not up to the mark and played a below-par innings with the bat. The player bowled only one over with the ball and conceded ten runs. The Orsett-born will look to change things around for the England Legends in the second outing.

Predicted Playing XI

Mal Loye, Ian Bell(c), Tim Ambrose, Phil Mustard, Rikki Clarke, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Darren Maddy, Chris Schofield, Chris Tremlett, Stephen Parry, Stuart Meaker

West Indies Legends

West Indies won their first outing against Bangladesh Legends in style. The second outing against India Legends got abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a wet outfield. Skipper Dwayne Smith is in sublime form and would look to lead from the front.

Players to watch out for:

1) Narsingh Deonarine:

The southpaw has represented the West Indies team in 47 T2OIs. The all-rounder can be an X-factor for the team that he plays for. However, the West Indies Legends expected a lot from him and the player let the team down in the first outing. Deonarine will be a player to watch out for in the match.

2) Devendra Bishoo:

Devendra Bishoo picked one scalp to his name the other night. The player almost let the game away at times. The match against England Legends can be a tricky one and he’ll need to step up.

3) Dwayne Smith:

One advantage for the Caribbean veterans would be the half-century of their skipper. Dwayne Smith tried to roll his arms over in the match and this might boost the team’s morale.

Predicted Playing XI

Kirk Edwards, Sulieman Benn, Danza Hyatt, Devendra Bishoo, Marlon Black, William Perkins (wk), Narsingh Deonarine, Dwayne Smith (c), Krishmar Santokie, Dave Mohammed, Daren Powell

Pitch Report:

The pitch at Holkar cricket stadium, Indore is a balanced one. However, teams can take a risk by choosing to chase down the total. The surface is a good one and the match can be a high-scoring one with the chasing team having an edge over the other.
