Rey Mysterio to back this superstar against Dirty Dom for NXT North American Championship

The heel run of Dominik Mysterio has been amazing in the WWE universe. Ever since the 26-year-old challenged the former world champion, the fate of the Dirty Dom has changed manifold. The fans are hating him as the heel, which confirms the fact that Dominik has done his job as a heel. After joining Judgement Day, Mysterio has evolved gradually.  

Dominik is improving with his mic skills and proving himself to be a worthy contender to be looked after in WWE. Since Mysterio is showing promises of a potential star in the making, the WWE Universe is considering him to be a top nut for the new future and is trying to bring Rey Mysterio to the story again who would be seen backing Dragon Lee.  

Rey Mysterio to back Dragon Lee against Dominik Mysterio

The 28-year-old debuted in December 2022 and has shown a lot of promise to be a top guy. To promote the talent and create more stars, the WWE universe has decided to create a storyline between Lee and Dominik with Rey Mysterio backing Lee against the Dirty Dom. The feud between Dominik and Lee is almost confirmed as per the reports.  

This was confirmed by Rey Mysterio himself while he interacted with Lee during the Great American Bash. Further, the fact was also promoted by Dave Meltzer, who revealed during the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is a need for Mysterio to back Lee and Escobar.  

“They are already teasing the idea of a big NXT match with Dominik Mysterio defending the North American title against Dragon Lee with Rey in his corner. It's very clear with Escobar and Lee that WWE is wanting to make a big Hispanic star and using Mysterio to endorse them and be part of their story. Down the line it could be Dominik after this heel run is over because he's now getting the credibility with the fans of being a top singles guy and the experience in talking,” said Meltzer.
