Some players of Delhi Capitals (DC) were subject to theft ahead of their clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2023. While the cricketers were planning to get the team back on track on the field, on the other hand, the thieves were keeping an eye on the kit bags of the Delhi cricketers. From David Warner to Mitchell Marsh and other cricketers have become its victims.

Delhi Police is engaged in the investigation of this matter. However, no FIR has been registered yet. It was learned that a total of 16 bats were stolen from the bags of some cricketers while they were travelling from Hyderabad to Delhi. Some have lost their cricket bats while someone's pad or thigh pad got stolen. Even the shoes of many cricketers are missing. The kit bag for cricketers is very expensive as the cost of each kit bag is around one lakh rupees.

"All of them were shocked when they heard that everyone had lost something or the other from their kit bags. This is the first time such an incident has happened and the matter was soon raised to the logistics department, police and later at the airport. The investigation is on," Express quoted a DC source as saying.

Yash Dhull lost his 5 bats

Considering the upcoming matches of Delhi Capitals, now new items are being ordered for the cricketers. DC will play its next match against KKR on Thursday afternoon. According to information, when Warner, Marsh, Yash Dhull, and other players reached their hotel in Delhi, they checked their kit bags and found many things missing from them.

The heavy kit bag goes along with the luggage on the plane, which is the responsibility of the franchisee to deliver. It was told in the report that the IGI Police have been informed about this development. A written complaint is being given to them. The inspection of the matter is also going on now.
