Reece James is unlikely to join Chelsea's ongoing exodus in the summer transfer window, as the right-back provided a straightforward response to a fans' query about the same. Arsenal fans are delighted with their latest additions. However, there looks to be no prospect of James heading in the same direction, as the England international made it clear that he will not be joining the Gunners with a simple reply.

Arsenal dominated the Premier League 2022-23 points table but suffered a slump in the latter stages of the season, missing out on the title by five points to Manchester United. However, they are making the most of their Champions League status while also taking advantage of the slightly less strict Financial Fair Play rules to which they are subject.

Kai Havertz is the latest Chelsea player to sign with Arsenal after the two clubs agreed a £65 million deal for the forward. West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is also set to make a move to London as a fee has been agreed for the Englishman. Jurrien Timber of Ajax is also reported to become a part of the English club, according to Daily Mail.

What did Reece James reply to an Arsenal fan?

However, James has shown his loyalty to Chelsea by making it clear that he will not be moving to Arsenal. A Gunners fan tweeted: "Reece James to Arsenal who says no?" No one would have expected a clear answer from the star himself, but to everyone's surprise, James gave a straightforward answer: "I say no."

Check out the Twitter post below:

James made his debut in 2019 and has since appeared in 147 games for the club, scoring 11 goals and contributing 20 assists. The 23-year-old had an injury-hit campaign last term, scoring just twice and assisting twice in 24 appearances. He proved his loyalty to the Blues with a simple reply that drew praise from fans. His contract with the Frank Lampard's side is due to run until 2028.

One of the Chelsea fan wrote on Twitter: "Make him Chelsea captain immediately." "Propa chels," another commented. "I freakn love you Reece "proper Chelsea " incoming captain !!!," wrote a third user.
