Shoaib Akhtar has announced his biopic, named "Rawalpindi Express - Running Against The Odds" will hit the screens on 16th November 2023. He released the motion poster of his biopic on his YouTube channel. The former Pakistani cricketer's video gathered around 5k views within half an hour. At the time of writing, the video has 28.6k views. The film will be directed by Muhammad Faraz Qaiser.

In the motion poster, he can be seen running on a railway track. It is synonymous with his name "Rawalpindi Express" as he was the first bowler to bowl at 100mph. The former Pakistani pacer was given the nickname for his quick bowling. He is considered to be one of the most lethal bowlers of all time. Akhtar enjoyed a long-spanning cricket career.

Shoaib Akhtar announced his retirement from the game after the 2011 World Cup. The actor who'll play the lead in the biopic is yet to be revealed by the team. Born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, the former bowler sent shivers down the spine of the batters who faced him. Strong bowling action and a great follow-through ensured that he remained a lethal bowler in that era.

Shoaib Akhtar currently uploading videos on his YouTube channel with regards to happening around the world cricket. Most of them are analysis of the games happening in and around the world. The former bowler recently advised the Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant to lose weight to ensure a long career. Shoaib Akhtar has a total of 444 wickets across all formats of the game. He has an average of 25.16 and an economy of 4.13.

Out of those 444 wickets, 247 scalps are from ODI cricket, 178 in Test cricket and 19 in T20I internationals. The Pakistani bowler left a great legacy and it is being carried forward by the young lads of his country. It will be worth the wait to see how his biopic will turn out to be. But for now, his fans have the motion poster to celebrate with. Akhtar would also be hoping for the successful launch of the movie.
