Ravindra Jadeja made his international comeback from injury in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The Indian all-rounder wreaked havoc with the ball and replicated a similar performance in the second Test as well. He is, currently, the highest wicket-taker in the four-match series, having managed to claim 17 wickets in just 2 Tests at 11.24.  Without a doubt, Jadeja is living up to the title “Sir” given by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a few years ago.

The strongest support system of Ravindra Jadeja, Rivaba Jadeja, his wife, is also happy on her husband’s performance in the two Tests. Jadeja recorded his best Test figures in the second Test, claiming 7 wickets for 42 runs in 12.1 overs.

Talking to ANI, Rivaba Jadeja expressed her happiness while describing Ravindra Jadeja's characteristics:

"Ravindra is a very positive player, and his mindset is also very positive. He steps onto the field with a lot of intent and a positive attitude. That is his biggest strength. Cricket is his top priority and he is very attached to the game."

The 34-year-old was ruled out of India’s World Cup squad after he suffered a knee injury in the Asia Cup in August. He underwent surgery and did his rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy. With the help of coaches and physios, Jadeja exerted additional efforts to make himself available for the national side.

"I am very happy with his efforts and the way he contributed to the team. He has made a fantastic comeback. He made a comeback after an injury, and I am very much happy with his performance." Jadeja's wife added.

Ravindra Jadeja is, once again, expected to play a big role for India in the third Test, starting March 1st.
