The Pakistan Cricket Team had a campaign to remember in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 as they came back from being on the brink of elimination.  Impressive performances after their first two games helped them reach the final of the World Cup.

But now, tensions have taken an ugly turn, as Ramiz Raja has dished out a legal notice to Kamran Akmal for his apparent defaming, incorrect and hurtful remarks on his YouTube channel. These comments were directed at the Men in Green on their performance especially when they suffered two consecutive losses to India and Zimbabwe.

"It is not clear as to which particular comment of Akmal hurt Ramiz Raja. A legal notice was sent to Akmal because of the way the comments were directed at. I don't know exactly what charges they have made against Kamran but apparently, the legal notice has been sent because the chairman feels Kamran made defamatory, false and offensive comments in the media about him," a source close to the developments told PTI.

According to reports more legal notices are expected to be sent to former Pakistan cricketers as the belief is that they had crossed all limits on the team’s performance.

"Some of them clearly cross the line while criticising the team, management, board and chairman and Ramiz has made it clear he is not going to tolerate anyone running down or defaming Pakistan cricket anymore,” the source said.

The source, further, went on to say that the legal team of the Pakistan Cricket Board will take stern action against the former Pakistan cricketers on their YouTube channel or the respective television channel if the comments are found to be displeasing, unpleasant, distasteful and objectionable.

The Pakistan side had a great tournament but faltered in the final hurdle against England. They were under fire and had to deal with a lot of harsh comments. A lot of them lashed out at Babar Azam and suggested him to change his batting position to help the team in the long run.
