Former Pakistan Skipper Wasim Akram is hogging the headlines again as he made some startling disclosures about his former teammates Ramiz Raja and Saleem Malik in his autobiography 'Sultan'. The book was written by Akram recently and it has been widely acknowledged and read by the cricket fraternity.

Raja and Akram had played together in the 1992 World Cup in Australia under the leadership of Imran Khan. The two played for Pakistan between the period of 1985 to 1997 playing 188 international games. This is what Akram had to say about the current PCB chairman.

“The first over the next day was delivered by Asif Faridi, a local quick; I was thrown the new ball for the second. I was in my fourth over when John Wright, New Zealand's captain, nicked to Ramiz at second slip. For all his batting skill, Ramiz was at slip for reasons of rank, because his father was a commissioner and because he'd attended Aitchison College - he dropped more than he caught, frankly,” Akram said.

Saleem Malik took advantage of his seniority - Wasim Akram

He divulged another fact about Saleem Maik where he said that he was treated like a servant by him. He would treat Akram by unfair means and would use the status of seniority to his advantage. He also went on to say that some of the younger players in the side would persuade Akram to accompany them to nightclubs which he did not like at all.

"He would take advantage of my junior status. He was negative, selfish and treated me like a servant. He demanded I massage him; he ordered me to clean his clothes and boots," He wrote in his book. "I was angry when some of the younger team members in Ramiz, Tahir, Mohsin, Shoaib Mohammad invited me to nightclubs," read an excerpt from Akram's book," A passage in his book said.

In what was a bizarre situation. Akram and Malik played together for a long time but could not stand each other. He also played under Malik from 1992 to 1995. When the match-fixing scandal happened, Malik in 2000, was pressed for charges under match-fixing and was given a life ban.
