Pakistan have come from behind after two back-to-back losses against India and Zimbabwe to win four matches on the trot and book a place into the 20-20 World Cup final against England that will be played on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Pakistan also beat New Zealand comprehensively in the semi-final which was held at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were back in the runs. Rizwan scored 57 off 43 with five fours and Babar scored 53 off 42 with seven fours. The chase was a breeze for Pakistan as they chased down the target of 153 in 19.1 overs.

Ramiz Raja tried to give some words of inspiration, he tried to convey what Imran Khan had said to the Pakistan side in 1992, Here is what he had to say: “That was the shortest speech. Because what you are supposed to do has been done. Your technique cannot improve or decay in the next 24 hours. It is a mental game now. I exactly repeated the words that our captain Imran Khan said to us at that time," Raja said to the press.

Babar Azam can leave behind a legacy- Ramiz Raja

“Boys are relaxed. They are playing tennis ball cricket inside, bowling bouncers to each and having chit-chats. So they look relaxed and that is how they should be,” he stated. He also went on to say that it will be wonderful for Pakistan and Babar Azam if he goes on to lift what would be a second 20-20 World Title.

“I’ve just told him (Babar) that he has the opportunity right now to achieve greatness and leave behind a legacy. If he lifts the World Cup, nothing could be bigger than that in his career,” Raja added. Notably, Pakistan and England already have one 20-20 World Cup title each which they won in 2009 and 2010. While the Men in Green will be hoping for a repeat of 2009 the Three Lions will be hoping to get 2010 like finish.

Since there is a rain threat to the clash at the MCG, everyone will be hoping that rain stays away on November 13 when the summit clash takes place and that a full game of cricket is possible without any interruptions on Sunday.  Both teams will be looking to get their second 20-20 World Cup title.
