India are all set to play Sri Lanka in the bilateral series, comprising three T20 internationals and three One-Day internationals. The Men in Blue will start their campaign against Sri Lanka on 3rd January, with both teams squaring off at Wankhede Stadium.

The Indian Cricket Board have announced the teams for two different formats, with Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma leading the teams from the front in T20Is and ODIs respectively. However, there is one player who is again ignored by the selectors. The Mumbai based right-handed batsman, Prithvi Shaw, is again missed out on the national team selection.

Disheartened by non-selection to the national team, Prithvi Shaw shared a video of Gaur Gopal Das on his social media handle. In the video, one can see Gaur Gopal Das talking about emotions, happiness and problems. In the video, the saint said:

"If someone is smiling it doesn’t mean they are happy in their life. Happiness is never automatic, Problems are automatic."

"One chooses Positivity, love, and Happiness. Anger, hate, and Negativity come automatically inside human beings."

"To choose such things (Love, positivity), hence we have become human."

The Indian Cricket Board dropped Prithvi Shaw from the national team after the player failed to maintain fitness as well as his form in the national team colours. However, he is continuously staking the claim with his tremendous form in the Vijay Hazare tournament as well as Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.

In the Vijay Hazare tournament, the right-handed batter scored 217 runs in seven innings, including two half-centuries. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament, the player scored 332 runs from ten games. He was the leading run scorer for Mumbai and led the charge towards the title.

It remains interesting to see if the Indian Cricket Board would opt in for the right-handed batsman before the end of the year. Few regulars in the national team have failed to live up the hype, which can lead the selection committee to take a stern decision on the non-performing players and give chance to budding players.
