The highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023 has cricket fans on the edge of their seats. As both teams gear up for this crucial encounter, it is intriguing to predict India's playing XI for this high-stakes match.

There are some surprises seen in the selected squad. Yuzvendra Chahal was dropped from the squad. Kuldeep Yadav is preferred as the only specialist spinner along with two other finger spinning allrounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel .Sanju samson will be traveling as a backup player.  Here's India's probable Playing XI against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023.

Top Order - Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill who were in excellent touch recently are likely to open the innings. Their experience and ability to dominate bowling attacks make them a formidable duo. In number three, Virat Kohli will undoubtedly hold the key to India's success. His consistent run-scoring ability and leadership skills make him an indispensable asset.

Middle Order - Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul (wk)

Joining Kohli in the middle order could be star batters like Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Their fearless approach and ability to accelerate the scoring rate can provide much-needed impetus to India's innings. Rahul is a versatile and flexible batter; he can bat at any position and that is an advantage. Iyer also has the ability to play from No. 3 to No. 5 as these two batters have experience playing in these positions before. 

All-rounders - Hardik Pandya (vc), and Ravindra Jadeja

In terms of all-rounders, Hardik Pandya's form has been a big concern. However, his explosive batting and handy medium-pace bowling make him an automatic choice. In the recent series against West Indies, Pandya failed to deliver much with the ball. So, there will be high hopes on him to deliver here. Ravindra Jadeja's exceptional fielding skills coupled with his spin bowling prowess add depth to India's lineup.

Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj

In terms of bowling, Jasprit Bumrah who has recently came back from injury is showing his exceptional form against Ireland. He will spearhead India's attack with his lethal pace and accuracy. Mohammed Siraj, who has been in excellent form recently, is likely to partner Bumrah with his swing bowling abilities. Mohammed Shami will add the experience to the bowling attack with his pace and accuracy. Completing the playing XI, would be the only wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav. His variations and wicket-taking abilities can prove vital against Pakistan's batting lineup. 

While predicting a playing XI is always challenging due to various factors such as form, injuries, and pitch conditions, this lineup seems well-balanced with a blend of experience and youth.
