In the ongoing second ODI between India and Australia, the Aussies have dominated the proceedings with the ball. In the game, the visiting captain, Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bowl first. He said "Looks a decent surface and it's been under covers for a while so might do something. On the other hand, India skipper Rohit Sharma said ย "We know we are batting first. Looks a bit dry the pitch. Been under the covers for a while. Let's try to get how much we can and see the rest later."

As it turned, the home team failed to live up to the words said by their skipper. Also, he himself was guilty of losing his wicket to a bad shot. It all started with Shubman Gill bagging a silver duck. However, the likes of current skipper Sharma and former skipper Virat Kohli played some good shots and took the team to 32/1 in four overs.

Indian wickets fell like a pack of cards from the fifth over

In the first four overs, the new ball bowlers, Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green were guilty of bowling at full-length. However, from the fifth over, the same set of bowlers started bowling at good length. They started getting the reward with Starc picking three more wickets. After taking the wicket of Gill early in the innings, he took the wickets of Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and last match hero, KL Rahul between the fifth and the ninth over.

Hardik Pandya followed in the 10th over as he was brilliantly caught at slips by Steve Smith. The likes of Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja were building a partnership before the former was trapped lbw by Nathan Ellis. At 71/6, it looked like the team won't get too many runs. As it turned out, the last four wickets fell for 36 runs with Mitchell Starc taking his ninth five-wicket haul in ODIs. India was bowled out for 117 runs.
