The Big Bash League match between Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat ended in a dramatic victory for the Brisbane Heat, who won by 3 wickets.

Heats won the toss and elected to field first. In the first innings, Melbourne Stars made 159/7 in 20 overs, with Nick Larkin top-scoring with 58 off 36 balls. Beau Webster also contributed with 36 off 34 balls, and Tom Rogers chipped in with 26 off 23 balls.

Michael Neser with 4 wickets in 4 overs was the pick of the bowlers from Heats side, while Spencer Johnson, James Bazley, and Matt Renshaw took one wicket each to stop the Stars at a comfortable total.

In response, Brisbane Heat made 160/7 in their 20 overs and won the match on the very last ball of the match. The standout performer for the Heat was opener Matt Renshaw, who made an unbeaten 90 off 56 balls, including 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Chasing the target, the Brisbane Heat's innings got off to a slow start losing wickets early on, but Renshaw's solid innings kept them in the game. With just 4 needed of the last ball it could have gone in anyone's favour, but, in the last ball of the match, Matt Renshaw hit a four and won the match for his team, leaving Melbourne Stars players and fans disappointed.

Renshaw was adjudged the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 90 runs as well as 1 wicket. With this win, Heats move to 7th on the league table while Stars remain at the bottom.
