Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal have been vital cogs in the wheels of the Indian team ever since they donned the India colours. One of the reasons for them being such an important part of the Indian team is the x-factor that these players possess. Chahal is a crafty wrist-spinner and they are not too many wrist spinners in India who are as good as Chahal as he is in wielding his craft.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya does a great job of doing the duty of an all-rounder. Something no one else in India can. Hardik has been tagged more as a batting all-rounder these days, but that does not stop him from bowling useful overs whenever the team needs him to chip in as the sixth bowling option. Now, the Indian team is making full use of Hardik the all-rounder after his superb season with Gujarat in the Indian T20 league.

Rohit Sharma heaped praises on the two people and said that the Indian team is thrilled with their performance and their ability to constantly deliver in crunch situations

"He's a critical member for us (Chahal). Has got so much experience bowling in all formats. Pretty pleased with how he's come back after the WC. Hardik as well. One side boundary was long, he kept bowling the bouncers and got rewards for it. Not really (Worried about top-order?). To be honest, the wicket didn't have much. We played some not-so-good shots. Still back those guys to come out good. One of those series where top order hasn't come to the party. Have got nothing more to say because I know the quality they bring to the team. We've got some solid guys sitting on the bench who have been waiting to get a game. Want to create that bench strength. Injuries are bound to happen, have to manage workload, so need to build bench strength. Have got some solid guys who will get their opportunity in West Indies," said  Rohit Sharma after the completion of the match.

Chahal has made full use of his India return by picking up 7 wickets in the recently concluded day series against England. He has cemented his place in the short format teams ever since he came back after being snubbed for the 2021 20-20 World Cup.

The value of Hardik was realized by the Indian team when he picked up four wickets for 24 runs in a seven-over spell. In the decider ODI which was held at Manchester
