Pep Guardiola has been the pillar of support behind the success of Manchester City in the past few years. After having distinguished careers at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Guardiola has achieved equal levels of success at the Premier League club. Under his reign, City has won 11 trophies including four Premier League titles. On the other hand, he is yet to lay his hands on a Champions League trophy having marshalled them to a final in 2020/21 against Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola has never stayed at a club longer than Manchester City. He has been with the Cityzens for more than six years now. With Barcelona, he stayed for five years, while at Bayern he stayed for three years. His contract ends in 2025, but there have been rumours that he would not extend his stay at the club beyond that.

In a recent interaction, Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he will speak about his Manchester City future after the FIFA World Cup 2022 gets over. "After the World Cup, we will talk. The best for the club, for me. For the club, the best, at the first and after we'll see. I love being a manager, otherwise, we won't be here," he said in a conversation with Sky Sports.

"But, at the same time, I like to enjoy my job. Enjoy means preparing a lot, being sad when you suffer defeat, being happy in your victories, but at the same time taking time, one day off, like this month'' said Guardiola.

The Spanish football manager also spoke about the intense scheduling this season with the World Cup in winter and even made a strange analogy of the frequency of games with eating spaghetti every day. He also said that sometimes taking a break feels good. "It is like you are a machine. Prepare for a game, win, go home, analyze... no! Tomorrow, prepare for another one, another one, and another one. You feel maybe taking a break is good," added Pep Guardiola.
