The dates for the third season are still being worked out, but it is expected that the league would begin in early September and last around three weeks. The league will have nine clubs in the next season, up from eight last year.

The first season took place in 2020 and 2021, due to Covid-19 epidemic and the second in 2022. However, due to recent bad ties between the governments of India and Pakistan, as well as the two seasons being played in India, there was no team representing Pakistan till today.

Pakistan will make their debut in the third season of the Road Safety World Series event, a T20 league that begins in September in England. This multi-team event includes only retired players from each country to participate and has got approval from the ECB regarding Pakistan's participation.

This competition has included some of the best cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Yuvraj Singh, Shane Bond, Jonty Rhodes, and Brian Lara, among others. Amid continuing franchise-based T20 leagues, the 50-over World Cup will begin in October in India, with last year's finalists England and New Zealand playing the opener on October 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The main event between India and Pakistan, which was slated to take place on October 15, will instead take place a day earlier, on October 14. The amended schedule will be announced in the coming days by the BCCI in collaboration with the Cricket Governing Body.
