Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has once again etched his name in the annals of cricket history. In the year 2023, he became the first captain to cross 1,000 runs in international cricket. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Sharma's exceptional batting prowess and leadership skills.

This 1000 runs to score first as a captain achievement was unlocked by Rohit Sharma against the game in Nepal, where he scored an unbeaten 74 from 59 balls. The Indian skipper is also inching forward to conquer the 10000 runs milestone in ODI cricket. He has currently scored 9,922 runs with an average of 48.87, and the tally includes as many as 30 tons. He could become only the sixth Indian to touch the 10,000-run milestone in ODI cricket.

Fans who responded to this on social media, have praised him for his contributions to the team and have wished him well at the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, where he is now competing. Few have condemned him for his poor performance against Pakistan, but his 10,000 ODI runs milestone has also been eagerly anticipated by fans.

Sharma's journey to this milestone has been nothing short of extraordinary. Known for his elegant stroke play and impeccable timing, he has consistently proved himself as one of the most formidable batsmen in modern-day cricket. His ability to dominate bowlers across all formats of the game is truly awe-inspiring.
