Ramiz Raja is one of the most outspoken cricketers in the world right now. His feud with the Pakistan Cricket Board after his unceremonious firing from the Chairman’s post is world-known news.

His favourite pass time however seems to be making outlandish claims on and about the Indian cricket team. One such new claim that is doing the rounds of Twitter is that India took inspiration from the Pakistan team and designed their bowling lineup accordingly.

The claim has been made on his YouTube channel where he compared the bowlers of the two teams and emphasised how India’s bowlers are a copy of Pakistan one’s.

“Mujhe to kayi dafa ye mehsus hota hai ki jaise ki Pakistan ka bowling attack ko saamne rakhte hue isko design kiya gaya hai (I often feel India took a look at Pakistan and designed their bowling attack the same way. Umran Malik has pace just like Haris Rauf, Arshdeep brings the left-arm angle like Shaheen Afridi. Wasim Jr. chips in during the middle-overs and so does Hardik Pandya, both have the same pace as well. Shivam Mavi also plays the role of a supporting bowler,” Ramiz Raja said on his official YouTube channel. Raja also claimed that India’s bowling department is slightly better than that of Pakistan.

“India's spin department is a bit better than Pakistan. I always look at what Pakistan need to improve whenever I see both sides playing,” the former PCB chairman further said.

Different results against the same opponents

India recently won an ODI series by 3-0 and a T20I series by 2-1 against New Zealand. Pakistan meanwhile faced defeat against the same opponents at home. The Men in Blue are currently preparing to face Australia in a 4-match Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Australia have already landed in India and are going through a camp in Bangalore. India meanwhile are given a couple of days of break and will gather in Nagpur for the 1st Test match of Border- Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.
