Star India all-rounder Axar Patel's fitness has increased India's concern for the upcoming ODI World Cup. As Axar injured his leg during the Super 4 game against Bangladesh in the recently concluded Asia Cup, Indian team management is looking for his potential replacement.

Reports suggest that team management is keen to go with Ravichandran Ashwin, who has been selected for the upcoming ODI series against Australia. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar is also in consideration, and the final call will be taken on September 28th. However, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has named Yuzvendra Chahal as a potential replacement.

In his YouTube video, Harbhajan said that Yuzvendra Chahal should replace Axar if he later remains injured. "Yuzvendra Chahal should have been here. He has not been given an opportunity. It is beyond my understanding. Either he has fought with someone or he has said something to someone; I don't know. If we talk only about skill, his name should have been there in this team because a lot of Team India players are resting,", says Harbhajan.

Further analysing the 17-member squad announced for the first two matches against Australia, Harbhajan finds it weak. He said, "Team India has to continue the winning habit they developed in the Asia Cup. They have the ability to beat Australia as well. The team is slightly weak for the first two matches, but I believe this slightly weak team can also come out on top against them."

"Australia were playing against South Africa, and India were playing against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup. Australia is a different team. You will have to be at your best to beat Australia because they have decent batting until No. 7 or No. 8, and they have solid hitters", he further added. It's worth noting that India will face Australia in a three-match ODI series starting on September 22 in Mohali.
