Rishabh Pant scored a match-winning 125* against the English attack in the last ODI against England at Old Trafford on Sunday. The youngster's knock attracted a lot of appreciation from the greats of the game. Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif was also among those. He came up with a cheeky reaction to describe his knock though as he was all praise for it.

India didn't start their innings too well in pursuit of a 260-run target. They had lost 4 wickets for just 72 runs on the board. However, It was Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, who brought the team back on track. Rishabh scored an unbeaten match-winning knock of 125 runs off 113 balls, helping his team win the game and the series. This was Rishabh's first ever ODI hundred and it did come at a match-winning cause.

The ex-Pakistan Captain, Rashid Latif, in the show "Caught behind", was all praise for the left-handed batter. However, he did come up with a cheeky reaction to describe the playing attitude of the youngster. "Uska toh chala toh chaand tak, nahin toh shaam tak. We all know that about him," Latif said. He also went on to compare the batsman with Jos Buttler.

"But I would definitely say that his batting was outstanding, especially against fast bowlers, the balance he showed in his execution. And this is not the first time we have seen this. This England tour, the previous one, in the series against South Africa...Rishabh's name is always there,” Latif said. He said that the left-handed wicketkeeper is the Brian Lara of wicket keepers. He described that even though Rishabh revives the team from a losing position at times, he brings the team down from the winning position too.

"Overall, he puts up a mixed show - sometimes he revives the team to score a match-winning knock and sometimes he tends to concede the game even from a winning position.” Latif said.
