'Only good USA batter' - Fan react as Shayan Jahangir hits 104m six against Gerald Coetzee who bowled at 151 kmph in MLC

Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are two of the most successful franchises in the history of the Indian Premier League. The two franchises are among the top 3 popular cricket franchises in the world. The success of the franchise is incredible, and the owners of these franchises have owned teams in various leagues around the world.  

Two such teams are Texas Super Kings and MI New York in the Major League Cricket (MLC). The two teams faced each other in the latest match of MLC 2023 in the challenger match, which was a knockout game. The winner of the match was to progress to the final of the inaugural season of MLC to face Seattle Orcas in Dallas.  

MI New York won the toss and elected to bowl first in Dallas. The Super Kings' batting unit collectively batted slowly. The New York bowlers gave near to nothing to the batters. In fact, extras contributed 24 runs to the total. In their 20 overs, the Texas Super Kings could score only 158 runs. For New York, Trent Boult bowled a sensational spell of 4-0-24-4.   

Shayan Jahangir's incredible six against Gerald Coetzee

Chasing 159, New York lost the wicket of Slade Van Staden early. Captain Nicholas Pooran entered the middle and joined Shayan Jahangir. Gerald Coetzee of Super Kings, who is known for possessing a quick pace, came to the attack. The 22-year-old operated at a very good pace, which was fun to watch. Jahangir faced the youngster well.  

In the fifth delivery of the fifth over, Coetzee bowled a delivery which was delivered at a pace of over 151 kmph. Jahangir picked the back of a length delivery and dispatched the ball over the square leg region. It was a monstrous six that travelled for 104 meters. It was so clean, and the distance was massive. To hit an express pace bowler for such a long distance was terrific to watch. The crowd enjoyed the six a lot. MI New York won the game by 6 wickets and entered the finals of the tournament.
