Team India celebrates Diwali bash in style before the Dutch challenge in ODI World Cup 2023

Before the ODI World Cup 2023 match against the Netherlands on November 12th, Team India and their families enjoy a stylish Diwali celebration.

The whole nation is currently in a festive mood and celebrating the auspicious festival of Diwali with their loved ones. Amid all the festivities, the Indian team’s stellar performance in the league stages has been like icing on the cake and the whole nation is rejoicing in the success of the Indian team in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023.

Team India has stomped into the semi-finals of the World Cup and is set to face New Zealand in the semi-finals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The entire team is playing extremely well but what the fans have enjoyed the most is the unity of the team and the team is looking like a well-knit unit who’s enjoying each other’s company.  

Currently, the team is in Bengaluru and is looking in high spirits before the crucial juncture of the tournament. On the eve of Diwali, the entire team and the families of some of the players celebrated the festival of lights in great spirits. The official handle of the Indian Cricket Team and players shared some lovely pictures of the celebration on social media which elated the fans of Indian Cricket.

All the players were dressed up in traditional outfits and were seen enjoying the cuisine and the vibes of Diwali. The Indian team’s vice-captain and wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul posted a picture of the entire Indian squad and titled: “From us to all of you, Happy Diwali."

The skipper Rohit Sharma posted a beautiful picture with his wife wishing all the people of India a Happy Diwali on behalf of his family.

Anushka Sharma also graced the celebration and enjoyed the festivities with Virat Kohli and other members of the Indian squad.

India will face the Dutch challenge on Diwali

India is set to face the Netherlands in the last league match of the ODI World Cup 2023 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While India is sitting at the top of the table, the Netherlands is languishing at the bottom end of the table but the latter has impressed the fans with their fighting spirit and their win against the strong South African team was a testament to it.

Although India will be the hot favourite in this match they will still like to put their best foot forward against the Dutch and would like to carry on with the winning momentum before facing the Kiwis in the semi-finals in Mumbai.
