The ODI World Cup 2023 has reached its halfway stage as we now witness the race for top four heat up. Right through the tournament the batters have shown their skills with the bat and dominated the attacks.

The bowlers on the other hand have held their own and come up with some credible performances so far. The first half of the ODI World Cup 2023 has thrown up some usual names who have done well so far.

Here is the complete list of 11 players who have dominated the ODI World Cup 2023 till the halfway stage of the tournament:

1. Rohit Sharma – India

The Indian skipper began with a duck against Australia in Chennai but has picked up form in the next few games. Rohit Sharma has played five games so far and scored 311 runs from 5 games with an average of 62.2 with one century and one fifty.

2. Quinton De Kock – South Africa

The 30-year-old has already declared his intention to retire from ODI Cricket at the end of the ODI World Cup 2023. In the six games so far, Quinton De Kock has scored 431 runs from 6 games with an average touching 72. The left-hander has hit 3 centuries with a best of 174 versus Bangladesh in Mumbai.

3. Virat Kohli – India

The former India skipper has been India’s best batter during the ODI World Cup 2023 so far along with Rohit Sharma. The 34-year-old began with the match-winning 85 versus Australia in Chennai followed by another half-century against Afghanistan. Kohli scored his 48th ton versus Bangladesh and followed it up with a 95 versus the Kiwis. So far the former India skipper has scored 354 runs in the tournament.

4. Mohammad Rizwan – Pakistan

One of the only high points for Pakistan during their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. Mohammad Rizwan has scored 333 runs from the games he has played so far this campaign. His best of 131 not out helped Pakistan chase down 345 runs versus Sri lanka in Hyderabad.

5. Daryl Mitchell – New Zealand

The Kiwi was tremendous with the bat in the game against India scoring 130 runs. So far the 32-year-old has scored 268 runs with one century and one half-century. Mitchell is one of the best performers for the Kiwis in the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.

6. Heinrich Klaasen – South African

The big-hitting South African began the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament slowly. The 31-year-old soon found form with a blistering ton versus England in Mumbai. This was followed by 90 from 49 balls versus Bangladesh at the same venue. Till now Klaasen has hit 288 runs with a strike rate above 150.

7. Marco Jansen – South Africa

Considered one of the best upcoming talents, Marco Jansen has put the world on notice. In his very first ODI World Cup tournament Marco Jansen has picked 10 wickets with the ball. Just to prove his credentials, the youngster also scored a fifty versus England in Mumbai.

8. Mitchell Santner – New Zealand

One of the most unassuming performers the Kiwi is finally showing why he is considered an underrated talent. Mitchell Santner picked 5 wickets to help the Kiwis beat the Netherlands. In the same game, the 31-year-old scored a quick 36 runs with the bat. Santner has picked 12 wickets in the ODI World Cup tournament so far.

9. Adam Zampa – Australia 

With three successive four-wicket hauls Adam Zampa has stormed to the top of the wicket *taking charts. The 31-year-old leg spinner has picked 13 wickets from five games in the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.

10. Matt Henry – New Zealand

With 10 wickets in the tournament, the 31-year-old has been at the forefront with the new ball for the Kiwis. Matt Henry began the tournament well with 3 wickets each against England and the Netherlands.

11. Jasprit Bumrah – India

The Indian pacer has picked 11 wickets from the five games he has played in the ODI World Cup 2023 so far. His best figures of 4/39 game in the game versus Afghanistan in New Delhi.
