The black market has seen a surge in the resale of tickets for the ongoing ODI World Cup. Meanwhile, ahead of the highly anticipated India vs. South Africa match, a reseller has been arrested in Kolkata. The man was found selling each ticket for a staggering price of INR 11,000 instead of the original price of INR 2,500.

Kolkata police have apprehended Ankit Agarwal in connection with the illegal sale of tickets. The authorities have seized a total of 20 tickets for the World Cup contest from Agarwal's possession. The arrest highlights the rampant issue of black marketing in the sports industry, tarnishing the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.

It's worth noting that the much-anticipated match between the two cricketing powerhouses is scheduled for November 5, and the contest is expected to be a significant decider in determining the final rankings on the points table. Authorities continue to enforce strict measures to curb such illegal practices and maintain the integrity of the sporting event.

Who will win the highly anticipated clash?

The Men in Blue, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, currently hold the top spot in the points table. They have secured victories in all six group matches thus far in the tournament. On the other hand, South Africa follows closely in second place with five wins and a single defeat against the Netherlands. As per the World Cup format, the team topping the table will meet the team finishing fourth in the semifinals.

Prior to their encounter with South Africa, India is scheduled to play against Sri Lanka at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, November 2. In the meantime, the Proteas are set to face off against fellow contenders for the top four, New Zealand, on Wednesday, November 1. The match will also determine the fate of the Kiwis in the ongoing tournament.
