Sourav Ganguly came to watch the 2nd semi-final at Eden Gardens in Kolkata that Australia won and after the match while talking to the media the former India captain Sourav Ganguly expressed his admiration for Rohit Sharma's India team, praising their performance and predicting a formidable showing in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia.

Ganguly describes India's performance as 'smashing' and lauded their consistency throughout the tournament. He emphasized on the importance of maintaining their current form to secure victory in the finals.

Acknowledging Australia's prowess as a team, Ganguly recognized the challenge they pose, but remained confident in India's ability to overcome it. His unwavering support and belief in the team reinforced their potential to claim the World Cup title.

Ganguly said, “India looks smashing at the moment. I wish them all the best for Ahmedabad. India have played very well in the tournament and just one match and Australia stand between them and the World Cup trophy. If India continues to play like how they have performed in the tournament so far, then it will be tough to stop them. It will be a good match as Australia have a good team as well,".
